An exceptional opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic and collectible children’s vehicles ever produced: the SILA Bimbo Racer, designed by renowned Italian automotive designer Giovanni Michelotti and inspired by the legendary Ferrari 375 MM Spider.
Manufactured in Turin, Italy, between the late 1950s and 1960s, the Bimbo Racer was far ahead of its time. Unlike conventional pedal cars, it featured a genuine 12-volt electric drivetrain, complete with forward and reverse gears, headlights, horn, and an onboard charging system.
Constructed with a lightweight fiberglass body mounted on a steel chassis, the Bimbo Racer offered young drivers an authentic motoring experience and quickly became one of the most desirable junior cars of its era.
Today, surviving examples are exceptionally rare and highly sought after by collectors of automobilia, Ferrari memorabilia, vintage toys, and Italian design.
